Mitch McConnell Practically Breaks Down In Tears As America Celebrates Trumpcare Defeat (VIDEO)

While Donald Trump is going nuts on Twitter and trying to convince America that the Republican Party is actually going to come back with a solution after their latest push for Trumpcare failed last night, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is wallowing in self-pity over a number of celebrations happening around the country.

In a speech on the Senate floor this morning, McConnell not only blamed Democrats for the failure of his Obamacare replacement plan but whined about how they were celebrating the fact that millions of Americans won’t be kicked off their health care now that McConnell’s bill has died. McConnell lamented:

These are not just numbers on a page these are real people.”

These are not just numbers on a page these are real people.”

If McConnell is looking to place blame, he should mention that many of those “real people” were actually Republicans. Sen. Jerry Moran (R-KS) and Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) were the Republicans whose vote against the replacement plan caused it to flatline last night. And we’re thankful that these Senators actually had a conscience because the majority of Americans want Obamacare to stay. But when has McConnell and most of the GOP cared about what people actually want? McConnell whined:

I regret that the effort to immediately repeal and replace Obamacare will not be successful. That doesn’t mean we should give up. We will now try a different way to bring the American people relief from Obamacare.”

What will McConnell’s new approach be?

The Senate will pick up and vote on repeal Obamacare combined with a stable two-year transition period as toward patient centered health care.

A majority of the senate voted to pass the same repeal legislation back in 2015. President Obama vetoed it then. President Trump will sign it now.”

This “patient centered health care” that McConnell is proposing is anything but. It’s part of a 2015 Senate bill that would double premiums and strip even more people of coverage.
