Trump Supporters Are Sharing Photos Of His Phoenix Rally. There’s Just One Problem…

Photos of a massive crowds were shared by the president’s supporters, who insisted the picture was from his Phoenix rally.

Only they weren’t pictures of the Arizona rally. The photos were quickly debunked as fake, and were actually aerial shots of a 2016 championship parade in Cleveland, Ohio celebrating the Cavaliers NBA title.

Photos of the actual Arizona rally also emerged on Twitter and revealed a much smaller and less enthusiastic crowd than supporters and Trump himself would like for the public to believe.

Indeed, as the Washington Post reported, the audience thinned out long before Trump was finished speaking as “many in the crowd lost interest in what the president was saying.”

Hundreds left early, while others plopped down on the ground, scrolled through their social media feeds or started up a conversation with their neighbors. After waiting for hours in 107-degree heat to get into the rally hall — where their water bottles were confiscated by security — people were tired and dehydrated and the president just wasn’t keeping their attention. Although Trump has long been the master of reading the mood of a room and quickly adjusting his message to satisfy as many of his fans as possible, his rage seemed to cloud his senses.

David Catanese, the senior political writer at US News & World Report, published photos of the rally as Trump was speaking – to include the one below, taken from the opposite side of the arena from the stage. (You can see the stage towards the upper right with the US flag beside it.)

Pathetic crowd sizes have proved to be a thorn in Trump’s side, and when he falls short, he can’t seem to stop himself from lying and then bragging about turnout.

“Thank you Arizona. Beautiful turnout of 15,000 in Phoenix tonight!” he tweeted.

And, while it’s frustrating to see Trump and his supporters bragging about fake crowd sizes, just remember – they’re a minority. Their celebrations will not last long. Judging from all the negative reactions to Trump’s crazy speech last night, his days in the Oval Office are numbered.
